General Overview
Computational Biology is a novel and thrilling field that has been attracting the attention of Biologists and other STEM scientists in the past few years. The QuaCBio Master’s combines courses from the biological and hard science realms, with a strong emphasis on hands-on bioinformatic training. Students with a comprehensive STEM background are expected to get together and cross-contaminate when dealing with Big Data in omics, evolution, ecology and physiology to become the next generation of Computational Biologists.
- The Master structure and individual course syllabi are available here
- Important notice. You need to compile a different study plan depending on your background. If you come from a BA outside of the Biology realm (such as Mathematics, Chemistry, Physics, Informatics, Engineering…), make sure to select the following courses: 1 and 2. Otherwise pick these: 3 and 4. The two sets of courses mentioned above are indeed to be as mutually exclusive.
- All classes will be held at the “Polo Didattico di Biomedicina Fiore di Botta”, located at Via del Pescarotto 8, Padova.
The QuaCBio Master has been activated very recently. Additional information about internships and the paperwork required for obtaining the degree will be available at the end of this academic year.
